As the light levels in the room over the course of the day, the piece lightens and darkens and seems alive.

The sunlight that peeks out from behind the tree is always present as the rest of the landscape changes throughout the day.  In the morning it appears to depict a sunrise and in the evening it appears to depict a sun set. Very happy to have it!
